Yanks win pitching duel with pair of homers in the 13th
TORONTO -- It was scoreless for most of the night at the Rogers Centre, but the Yankees finally broke through in the 13th inning. Facing Joe Biagini, Aaron Judge would send his curveball to far away in left center field to lead New York to the win over Toronto, 3-0.

Giancarlo Stanton added a laser solo shot two batters later to add some insurance for Aroldis Chapman, who nailed down his 15th save of the season.
The victory capped off a two-game sweep for the Bombers.
Not to get lost in the shuffle, though, was an excellent performance by Sonny Gray. Going eight strong innings, the Yankee starter gave up just two hits and two walks, while striking out eight Blue Jays.
In an amazing sequence, Gray was able to get away from a bases loaded jam in the fifth inning, after inducing a Devon Travis double play ball.

Along with this, the New York bullpen was equally as excellent, pitching a combined five innings of scoreless work.
It wasn't the best game of games for the New York offense, especially facing Sam Gaviglio who was making just his fourth start of the season, but Aaron Boone and his staff will take the victory.
The Yankees will have tomorrow off and will open this weekend's Subway Series with Masahiro Tanaka on the mound facing Jacob deGrom.
Current Yankees Record: 40-18
