Its a bit of a surprise that Girardi went with Gardner over Ellsbury. Both are struggling badly, but you figured Ellsbury would get the start in CF. It says a lot that Ellsbury is not in the lineup, who has a ton of post season experience from his days in Boston. He has had a bad year, and its been a long two years for Ells in pinstripes.
