Tiger Woods. LeBron James. Michael Jordan. Aaron Judge.

Aaron Judge is absolutely locked in right now (even if he won’t admit that).

Six home runs in five games, all of which either tied the game or gave the New York Yankees the lead. The latest blow, a game-winning homer against the Red Sox on Sunday night, was followed by this call from none other than A-Rod:

A-Rod almost sounded drunk on the broadcast last night and got ripped for the call on Twitter. However, as outrageous as it was, I get what the 2009 postseason hero was getting at.

Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James are three of the most famous and accomplished athletes of all-time. The faces of their respective sports. Who’s the face of baseball right now? Aaron Judge.

Now, I’m not trying to say it isn’t patently ridiculous to put a fourth-year baseball player in the same sentence as those other three guys. He’s not in the same stratosphere of accomplishments. But he’s the same kind of polarizing athlete, and the face of baseball right now.

Let’s hope the baseball season can be completed because I have a feeling #99 will be able to add some awards to his resume with the way he’s playing.
