Yankees Opening Day Advent: Day 3

If you don’t know what an Advent Calendar is, and I’m no expert, it’s a special Christian calendar leading up to Christmas. So leading up to Opening Day, I have put together a 25-part series of things to get excited about because baseball is almost officially back.

Boozy Brunch Before A Game

Picture this. It’s Saturday morning and you’re waking up after a good night’s sleep. In fact, let’s just say it’s May 9th and the Yankees have a 4pm game against the Boston Red Sox. You know you’re going to that game late, because why wouldn’t you? But what will you do with a free morning because of the later start? Oh that’s right, you’ll go to boozy brunch and get the party started.

One of the biggest issues people run into with day drinking, is not eating enough and things getting away from them. However, if you do a 11 am or noon boozy brunch, you are putting some fuel in the tank. On top of that, you’re starting up the day party at a reasonable price, so you have to buy less $10 beers at the stadium bars before the game.

As a basic bitch, I LOVE boozy brunch and as a Yankee fan, I LOVE going to games. This is the best of both worlds and something I am really excited to do this upcoming season. Plus, if you have friends that may not be dying to commit to going to a baseball game, you get them on the hook for a boozy brunch and they aren’t walking away from the party as it moves to the Bronx.

This sounds like a blast, right? Well I’m not planning your brunch for you, but I will tell you that this exact scenario is coming together on May 9th and Bronx Pinstripes is hosting an event.
