The New York Yankees announced this year players will wear a patch on the left sleeve of both home and away jerseys to commemorate the passing of Henry โHankโ George Steinbrenner.
Hank was the General Partner/Co-Chairperson of the Yankees organization along with brother Hal Steinbrenner. The letters “HGS” will be embroidered onto an oval patch. The patch will adorn the uniform the entire duration of the 2020 season.
