Yankees game 62 preview (6/14/15)
Adam Warren (4-4, 3.64 ERA) tries to salvage a win against Mike Wright (2-1, 2.96 ERA) and the Orioles. Warren is 3-3 with a 3.30 ERA in his last seven starts and is really making a case for himself to stay in the rotation. He got the win against the Angels his last time out, holding them to two runs on four hits through 6 2/3 innings. He faced Baltimore back on May 8, giving up two runs on seven hits in just 4 2/3 innings in the no decision. The Bombers would go on to win that game 5-4. He has recorded quality starts in each of his last five starts going 2-3 with a 2.70 ERA in 33 1/3 innings. This quality start streak is the longest by a Yankees pitcher since Masahiro Tanaka's streak of 16 from April 4-June 6 of last season.
Wright was called up and put in the bullpen after Miguel Gonzalez was placed on the DL. He wasn't used out of the pen so he gets the start against the Yanks. He gave up five runs on eight hits through five against the Astros back on June 2. This will be his fifth start of the year.
