DJ LeMahieu wins AL Silver Slugger Award for 2B
Although he wasn't named as a finalist for American League MVP, DJ LeMahieu is still taking home some hardware this offseason.
On Thursday night, it was announced that DJLM, AKA The Machine, has won the Silver Slugger Award for AL second basemen. The Silver Slugger Awards are given annually to the best offensive player at each position in both leagues.
LeMahieu was a revelation for the Yankees this year. The 31-year-old hit .327 with a career high 26 home runs, 103 RBI and a .893 OPS. He played 75 games at 2B, 52 at 3B, 40 at 1B at one at DH.
