via Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News suspects that Phil Hughes will be moved to the bullpen.
The Yankees are currently operating with a six-man rotation but plan to cut it back down to five within the next week or so. Hughes has an 8.24 ERA — by far the worst mark on New York’s staff — and seems likely to get bumped. That is, unless Ivan Nova is knocked around in his next outing.I think we’ve seen this coming around the corner for some time. Nova has been more consistent – let’s hop the Yanks can get some productivity out of Hughes.
