Both Aaron Hicks and Gary Sanchez suffered injuries in Thursday night's ballgame, which could leave the Yankees short on position players for tonight's game. Earlier in the day, it was reported that outfielder Mason Williams will also be called up to the big league roster. There have been no official announcements in regards to Hicks and Sanchez's injuries. With the Yankees calling up players, it's possible that one or both players could land on the disabled list. Higashioka made his Major League debut on April 10. As Sanchez missed time earlier in the season due to injury, Higashioka was called up to serve as the team's backup. The 26-year-old appeared in 9 games, and was very solid defensively in his limited big league action. No corresponding moves have been announced by the Yankees at this time.
