Report: Yankees interested in Joakim Soria

Although the Yankees front office has made it clear that adding starting pitching is the main priority, it seems that they are also looking to add depth to the bullpen.

Joakim Soria has spent 11 years in the big leagues, compiling an ERA of 2.88 with 220 saves. He was an All-Star in 2018 and 2010 with the Kansas City Royals. The 34-year-old started 2018 with the Chicago White Sox before getting dealt to the Brewers in late July. The right-hander finished last season with a 3.12 ERA featuring 75 strikeouts in 60.2 innings of work.

With David Robertson and Zach Britton currently residing in free agency, Soria could provide a veteran presence in the Yankee bullpen for 2019.
