WATCH: Gary Sanchez launches home run off scoreboard in batting practice
It's only been two days since Yankees pitchers and catchers reported to Tampa, but today we have our first "Kraken" sighting. Otis Livingston of CBS New York recorded some of Gary Sanchez' batting practice session this afternoon, and shared a tape-measure home run on twitter:

Sanchez's easy power is on full display here as he effortlessly drives one to left-center off of the scoreboard. Never one to shy away from social media, as evidenced from his ongoing #IAmGary social media campaign, Sanchez replied to Livingston's tweet.

While it appears Gary is certainly having fun early on in his spring workouts, he also displayed a mature mindset to go along with his work ethic when speaking with Yankees beat reporter Erik Boland. Sanchez was quoted as saying he is working just as hard now as if he wasn't guaranteed a roster spot.
Gary Sanchez: "I'm working as if I do not have a guaranteed spot [on the team]. You never know, so you have to keep working hard." — Erik Boland (@eboland11) February 16, 2017
Heading into the 2017 season, Sanchez looks to build off his phenomenal 2016 rookie campaign, where he crushed 20 home runs and 42 RBI in only 53 games. Follow me on Twitter, @JaredSaul
