Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. Intense without being tense, it was the inverse outcome an evening later in the New York Yankees 2-1 win against the Boston Red Sox. CC Sabathia was pumped up. Jacoby Ellsbury was jacked up.

With the contest squared a one during the seventh inning, Ellsbury smoked a bomb to deep right, off Eduardo Rodriguez. The eventual winner was the fifth on the campaign for Ellsbury and made it a 2-1 ballgame.
The Bronx Bombers have 146 home runs on the year.
