Over the last week, Rutherford has hit an incredible .684 with 13 hits, three of which were doubles and two triples. Â This includes two four-hit games this week and falling just short of hitting for the cycle on July 27.
On the season with Pulaski, he is hitting .446 with seven doubles, four triples, a home-run and six RBI over 17 games.
Also announced was Charleston RiverDogs right-hander Luis Cedeno who earned South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week honors.

In his 13th start, the 21-year-old took a perfect game bid into the seventh inning where it was broken up by a leadoff walk to Lexington Lengends second baseman D.J. Burt. Â The no-hitter was broken up on a grounder by Roman Collins. Â He would issue a second walk, loading the bases, but would get out of the jam with the shutout intact.
He finished the game with nine strikeouts, which is one shy of his career-high. Â Eduardo Rivera would go on to save the game in a combined shutout, this being Cedeno’s second one-hit combined shutout of the season.
In his second stint with the RiverDogs (pitched in Charleston in 2015), Cedeno holds a 6-5 record with a 3.63 ERA, 62 strikeouts and 17 walks issued in 72 innings of work.
Cedeno becomes the third RiverDogs pitcher to earn weekly league honors this season.
