Yankees game 48 preview (5/28/15)
Northern California native CC Sabathia (2-6, 5.47 ERA) kicks off the west coast swing taking on Kendall Graveman (2-2, 6.04 ERA) and the Athletics. After getting back to back wins, CC didn't make it out of the third inning his last time out against the Rangers. He gave up six runs on seven hits through 2 1/3 innings in the 15-4 shelling. Before that he went seven innings back to back in those wins. This will be his 15th career start against Oakland.
Graveman spent four weeks in the Minors but was called back up after Drew Pomeranz hit the DL. He came back to shutout the Rays through six innings. This will be his first time facing the Bombers.
Tidbits:
Alex Rodriguez has 21 homers at O.Co Coliseum and Mark Teixeira has 20.
In Wednesday's win, ARod passed Lou Gehrig for third place on the all time RBIs list. With Barry Bonds and Hank Aaron in front of him, who spent their entire careers in the NL, ARod holds the most in AL history.
This will be Graveman's sixth career Major League start.
