Prior to tonight's game with the Seattle Mariners, the Yankees announced that they've sent RHP Luis Cessa to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and have called up LHP Tyler Olson. According to Chad Jennings of LoHud Yankees Blog, the Mariners have seven lefties on their roster, so a lefty-specialist is a welcome addition in the bullpen. Jennings also notes that it's always made sense for the Yankees to stretch Cessa out so he'd be ready to step in as a spot starter in case of an injury to the starting rotation.
