It took the Yankees 12, but Brett Gardner came through to get the walk-off win to complete the sweep of the AL Champion Texas Rangers.
Brian Gordon made his Yankees debut in today’s afternoon game and pitched well. He went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs over 7 hits.
Gardner entered the game in the 9th inning and got 2 hits while in the extra baseball, including the walk-off hit to send the Yankees to Wrigley Field on a good note.
