Yankees game 108 preview (8/7/15)

The surprisingly red hot Blue Jays come to town for a crucial three game set. R.A. Dickey (6-10, 4.06 ERA) and Nathan Eovaldi (11-2, 4.30 ERA) will kick things off in game one. Eovaldi has not allowed more than three earned runs in an outing since June 10. He held the White Sox to three runs on seven hits through 5 2/3 innings his last time out.

40 year old Dickey has allowed two runs or fewer in his last five outings and is in a three game win streak. He threw a two hit shutout of the Royals through seven innings his last time out. This will be his third start against the Yanks this season. He gave up one run in both starts going 6 1/3 and 8 innings taking a no decision and a win.

Tidbits:

Dickey is 7-3 in 18 games (12 starts) against the Yankees.

The Yankees have homered in 12 straight games, their longest streak since they went 14 in 2009.

The last time the two teams finished first and second in the division was 2006.
