Yankees game 109 preview (8/8/15)

The Yankees face a familiar foe in new threads. David Price (10-4, 2.45 ERA) is on the mound for Toronto to take on Ivan Nova (4-3, 3.10 ERA) in the second game of the series. Nova hasn’t given the Yankees much to complain about since returning from Tommy John. He gave up one run on five hits through six innings in his last start against the White Sox. The last time he face the Blue Jays was back on August 20, 2013. He went 6 1/3 innings giving up four runs on nine hits in the win.

Price was his normal self in his Blue Jay debut. He struck out 11 Twins giving up a single run on three hits through eight innings. He retired the final 15 batters he saw. This will be his second time facing the Yanks this season. He tookย his first loss of the year back on April 22 when he gave up eight runs through just 2 1/3 innings for Detroit.
