Bryan Mitchell (0-1, 3.72 ERA) gets the start against Kyle Gibson (8-9, 3.75 ERA) and the Twins. Mitchell makes his third big league start in order to give the rotation an extra days rest during the August grind. He gave up four runs on seven hits through just four innings against the White Sox in his last start.
Gibson went six innings against Texas, giving up just two runs through six innings with seven K’s taking a no decision. He lost to the Yanks back in July when he gave up six runs on six hits through 5 1/3 innings. HeΒ is 0-3 with a 7.39 ERA over his last five outings.
