CC Sabathia (4-9, 5.16 ERA) and the Yankees limp toward the finish line taking on Erasmo Ramirez (10-5, 3.96 ERA) and the Rays. The big man came off the 15 day DL to throw 4 2/3 innings giving up three runs in a no decision against the Orioles. He is 13-14 with a 3.83 ERA in 37 career outings against Tampa Bay.
Ramirez had nine strikeouts and a 5-1 lead going into the sixth inning against the Tigers his last time out. However, he would give up three runs without recording an out so he took a no decision. He is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA in five career outings (two starts) against the Yanks.
