Yankees game 147 preview (9/19/15)

Michael Pineda (10-8, 4.25 ERA) and Noah Syndergaard (8-6, 3.20 ERA) continue the Subway Series in game two in Queens. Pineda has allowed four runs in each of his last two starts. Most recently against the Blue Jays, going 5 1/3 innings and giving up three homers in the no decision. He beat the Mets back in April, allowing one run on five hits through 7 2/3 innings.

Syndergaard gave up one run through seven innings against the Braves his last time out, getting the win. This will be his first time facing the Yanks.

 

Tidbits:

The Yankees are 4.5 back from Toronto.

Pineda has a 5.82 ERA in four starts since coming back from hisย forearm strain.

Syndergaar had a 4.79 ERA in August.
