The Yankees will send the southpaw, Andy Pettitte, to the mound tonight in the rubber game against the Royals. In his last outing vs. the Reds, Pettitte threw eight shutout innings, striking out nine and allowed just one run on three hits and a walk.

After tonight’s game, the Yankees embark on a 9-game road trip starting with the Oakland Athletics on Friday.
