Yankees game 47 preview (5/27/15)

Michael Pineda (5-2, 3.59 ERA) and Chris Young (4-0, 0.78 ERA) face off for the second time this month in a day game at the stadium. Pineda followed up his amazing 16 K appearance with two sub par outings. His last time out against Texas he gave up seven runs (four earned) on eight hits and two bombs through six. He faced KC on the 15th going 5 1/3 innings allowing five runs on 10 hits in a 12-1 shelling.

Young is 3-0 with a 0.36 ERA in the month of May, the best ERA in the Majors in that span. He faced the Yanks also on the 15th giving up just one run on four hits in 5 2/3 innings. He is 3-1 with a 4.35 ERA over six starts against the Bombers, 2-0 in the Bronx.

Carlos Beltran has a 14 game hitting streak.

The Yankees have scored two or fewer runs in six of their last nine losses.

Pineda has given up just four walks all year.
