Yankees game 56 preview (6/5/16)

CC Sabathia (3-4, 2.85 ERA) takes the mound and takes aim at a series win against Kevin Gausman (0-3, 3.78 ERA) and the O’s. Sabathia has taken a loss in his last two starts, but has a 1.04 ERA over his last four. He blanked Baltimore back in May, going seven innings and allowing six hits. He has tossed an American League best eight consecutive quality starts on the road, dating back to last season.

Gausman has allowed three homers in his last two starts after allowing three over his first six. He took a no decision back in May against the Yanks, allowing no runs through eight innings.

 

Tidbits:

The Yankees 55 homers are 11th in the AL.

Mark Trumbo leads the league with 18 homers.

The Yanks eight runs last night were their most since May 20 against Oakland.
