Day two of the 2016 MLB Winter Meetings is underway, and team’s are wheeling and dealing. We’ll update this post (a new post each day) with all the news and substantiated rumors from National Harbor.
8:35 PM | According to the New York Post’s Joel Sherman, free agent catcher Wilson Ramos has a 2 year offer from the Rays in hand and, pending a physical, will be headed to Tampa Bay. 29-year-old Ramos had a breakout 2016, hitting .307/.354/.496 with 22 homers across 131 games for the Nationals before an ACL tear ended his season.
#Rays are in agreement with Ramos on 2-yr deal pending physical and that physical is a big deal because of knee

There could be a snag in the Wade Davis-to-the-Cubs deal, according to a source. Never was done and far from a certain thing at this point.
