That is how you kick off a weekend! The Next Man Up approach has kept this team above .500, but now it’s time to get some of the big dogs back in the lineup and begin to steamroll the league.
Sanchez came back a couple of week’s ago and has made an immediate impact. Andujar is coming back this weekend. Stanton is rumored to come back this weekend or early next week. Hicks played in a game yesterday. Tulo is playing in games. Didi is doing on field drills. Last week I convinced you that Aaron Judge might be coming back early. Clint Frazier pretty much confirmed he’s coming back soon.
If you can read all that and still have pants on, you’re stronger than I am.
Pretty soon our biggest problem will be that we have too many good players for our roster and will have to send guys down or trade them to restock our minor league system. These are first world problems, but still problems. Luckily, we have Brian Cashman to sort this all out and dominate the other GMs around the league.
