PIX11 releases Yankees TV broadcast schedule for 2017

While the YES Network remains as the primary provider for Yankees regular season games, PIX11 will also be broadcasting baseball for a third consecutive season in 2017, with 21 Yankees games listed on its slate, the station announced Monday.

The Yankees’ first appearance on PIX11 will be on Wednesday, April 19 in a matchup against the Chicago White Sox at Yankee Stadium. Of the 21 telecasts, 14 will take place in the Bronx, but all will be offered in high definition with SAP and close-captioning included.

According to the station, all games will be produced by YES, but PIX11 is also planning to produce its own pregame shows, which will air in primetime.

From 1951 until 1998, PIX11 served as the home for Yankees baseball. In 2015, YES and Tribune Media reached a multi-year agreement for PIX11 to share exclusive rights for Yankees broadcasts. In 2016, PIX11 also broadcasted 21 games.
