Report: Didi Gregorius has been cleared for baseball activities

In spite of the possibility of a season-ending injury, it seems the Yankees are getting Didi Gregorius back sooner than expected.

Gregorius has been out since Sept. 23 with torn cartilage in his wrist, an injury that many thought would keep him off the field for the rest of the year. According to Michael Kay, the 28-year-old received a cortisone shot and rested the last few days, which proved successful as doctors now believe he can use the wrist and play through the playoffs.

Didi is hitting .268 on the year with 27 home runs and 86 RBIs. The Yankee shortstop will likely return to the lineup over the next four games.
