Following last night’s win over the Baltimore Orioles, the Yankees announced that LHP Caleb Smith was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a viral infection. The move is retroactive to 9/13.

In nine appearances for the Bombers this season, Smith is 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA across 18.2 innings.
In a corresponding move, the team has recalled RHP Domingo Germán from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Germán owns a 3.38 ERA in five games for the Yanks.
