Yankees and Tigers postponed due to inclement weather

Today’s New York Yankees game against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park has been postponed due to inclement weather. Luis Cessa was scheduled to start the second game of the three-game set.

The Yankees will attempt to play a split doubleheader tomorrow starting at 1:10 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. However, there is more rain in the forecast tomorrow, which means there isn’t a guarantee both teams will play. If the Yankees are forced to postpone tomorrow, both teams might have to look at their collective schedule off-days and make up the remaining two games in the series.

This is the only trip the Yankees will make to Detroit this season, and playing on Monday isn’t an option. While the Tigers are off on Monday, the Yankees return to the Bronx and start a two-game set against the Miami Marlins.

The Yankees have yet to announce their starters for the doubleheader.
