The Yankees Bullpen shuffle continues

The revolving door in the Yankees bullpen continues. Right-hander Danny Burawa and lefty Jose De Paula have been sent back down to the minors after the Yankees suffered a 12-4 loss at the hands of the Detroit Tigers Sunday.

Burawa, 26, appeared in Sunday’s loss pitching 2/3 of an innings allowing four earned runs on three hits. He walked a batter and struck out one.

De Paula, 27, relieved Burawa Sunday and tossed 3 1/3 innings allowing one earned run on two hits, walking four and striking out two.

In corresponding moves, the Yankees will bring up fresh arms in Nick Rumbelow and Diego Moreno.

Rumbelow, 23, has appeared in 25 games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre posting a 2-1 record to go along with a 3.31 ERA. He has tossed 35 1/3 innings on the season with seven saves. 13 of the 16 runs he has allowed have been earned. He does not walk many batters as he has given up only seven free passes to go along with 41 punch-outs.

Moreno, 27, was acquired in the 2012 trade with the Pittsburg Pirates involving A.J. BurnettThe righty has tossed 35 2/3 innings at Triple-A Scranton and has appeared in 19 games out of the bullpen. He has allowed 26 hits while striking out 29 and walking eight batters. He is 3-0 with a 2.27 ERA this season in the minors.
