Chris Martin sent down

Every day it seems the Yankees bullpen gets a makeover. Chris Martin has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton. The 6’8 righty is the latest pitcher to receive the news. 23 year old Bryan Mitchell has been called up to bring a fresh arm to the Yankees’ bullpen.

Ever since Andrew Miller went down, the in-and-out cycle of the bullpen has been almost a daily occurrence. Mitchell has a 2.79 ERA with Scranton so far this season, and has shown promise as a young arm.
