The Yankees will take on AL East foe Boston today from Tampa, Fla., which will be the last time the two teams see each other until Opening Day on April 1, when the games really count.
Shortstop Derek Jeter will sit out again, after being diagnosed with mild inflammation in his surgically repaired left ankle. While Jeter isn’t too concerned about the expected soreness, manager Joe Girardi left the door open for a possible DH role on Opening Day, while GM Brian Cashman wouldn’t rule out a DL stint. Jeter was given a cortisone shot to ease the soreness. With the WBC now over, the Yankees should have WBC MVP Robinson Cano back in camp tomorrow. Here is the lineup:

Brett Gardner LF
Eduardo Nunez SS
Kevin Youkilis 3B
Juan Rivera 1B
Ben Francisco RF
Jayson Nix 2B

Thomas Neal DH
