According to the LoHud Yankees Blog, the Bombers have made some more cuts today, trimming their spring roster down in the first week of March.
The players who will now go to the minor league camp are:
Francisco Arcia C
Tyler Austin OF
Greg Bird 1B
Cito Culver SS
Kyle Higashioka C
Gary Sanchez C
Rob Segedin OF
Top prospects Sanchez and Austin were never strongly considered to break camp with the team, as they need more seasoning in the minor leagues. Expect the Yanks to obviously make more cuts as the season comes closer and roster spots have to be finalized.
