Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. The Yankees started out well, spurred by the long ball but ultimately fell short to the Boston Red Sox, 5-3. Alex Rodriguez and Jacoby Ellsbury provided the punch for the navy blue and gray.
As he did Friday evening, A-Rod went yard in the first on Saturday. Rodriguez lifted a laser to left, off Eduardo Rodriguez. It was number 18 for A-Rod, posting the Yanks to a 1-0 lead. Playing in 81 games, A-Rod has equaled his home run output of 2012, when he belted 18 in 122 contests. On his career, A-Rod has 672 home runs and 327 as a Yankee.

With the Yankees down 3-1 in the sixth, Ellsbury rocked a solo jack to center, off Rodriguez, pulling the Yanks within one. The home run was Ellsbury’s second of the season was also number 18 with the Yankees and 83 on his career.
On the campaign the Bronx Bombers have 114 home runs.
