Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. There wasn’t much offense as the Yanks were concerned but their one source of scoring came via the long ball. Carlos Beltran got the Bombers on the board but they would fall to the Boston Red Sox, 2-1.
With the Yankees trailing 2-0 during the seventh inning, Beltran clocked a 1-1 knuckleball to right, off Steven Wright. The solo shot was number nine on the campaign for Beltran and cut the Boston lead in half, at 2-1.
The Bronx Bombers have 145 home runs on the year.
