Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. Live by the home run, die by the home run. The long ball brought the Bombers bats back to life in a 6-4 afternoon victory against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees went from losing and having only two hits, to winning while homering off two pitches.
With the Yankees trailing 3-0 in the sixth, Brian McCann belted the equalizer to right, off Chris Archer. McCann’s 25th, knotted the contest at three. The 25 home runs are a new career best for McCann.

One batter later, one pitch later, Alex Rodriguez drove an opposite field, solo shot, off Archer, giving the Yankees a 4-3 advantage. A-Rod has 28 home runs on the season.
The Bronx Bombers have 179 home runs.
