Going yard for the Yanks was Mark Teixeira. During the fifth frame, Tex yanked a two-run shot off Gio Gonzalez, increasing the Yankee lead to a 6-2 margin. Teixeira has a club best 12 home runs, third most in MLB. Tex has 172 homers as a Yankee and 375 on his career.
On the campaign, the Bronx Bombers have 47 home runs, fifth best in MLB.
