Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. In a Labor Day matinee in the Bronx, the Bombers were boosted by three home runs in an 8-6 victory against the Baltimore Orioles. Alex Rodriguez, John Ryan Murphy and Greg Bird all found the seats and the Yanks found themselves in the left column.
With the Yankees down 4-2 in the fifth, A-Rod cranked a solo shot to left, off Wei-Yin Chen. A-Rod’s 29th of the season, cut it to 4-3.

Later in the frame, Murphy with Bird on, smacked an opposite field drive to right, off Chen. Murphy’s third of the campaign made it 5-4 Yankees.

Capping off the scoring in the seventh, with the game squared a five, Bird bolted the go-ahead three-run homer to right, off Brian Matusz. Bird’s fifth round tripper of the year was the eventual winner and gave the Yankees an 8-5 lead.
The Bronx Bombers have 182 home runs.
