Per Josh Norris, the Thunder have placed OF Melky Mesa (arm soreness) and IF Walter Ibarra (finger soreness) on the disabled list. No word yet as to how long they’ll be out for. Norris also reports that Craig Heyer, who was placed on the disabled list last week with arm stiffness, is “ok” and will pitch again this season.
Vidal Nuno is up from Tampa and will be tomorrow’s starter for Trenton. In 11 appearances this season with Tampa, Nuno is 1-1 with a 2.96 ERA.
Zolio Almonte and Jose Pirela are both in Extended Spring Training on a rehab assignment. As of now, there’s no set date for either player to return to Trenton.
