Adam Warren looked pretty good on the mound tonight, but the story centered around the offense for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tonight. Specifically, the story centered on Steve Pearce and Jack Cust, who combined for three home runs and five runs scored. Ronnier Mustelier, who went 1-for-4, had three RBI on the night as well. As stated above, Warren looked pretty good. He tossed 6.1 innings tonight, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits. He also struck out six hitters, but didn’t factor into the decision. That honor went to Kevin Whelan, who imploded in the 9th by allowing four runs and blew a save, only to see Colin Curtis work a walk-off walk to win.

Tampa 4, Clearwater 3
Rob Segedin led the Tampa offense tonight as the only player with multiple hits. He also knocked in a run, his team-leading 28th of the season. Russell Branyan, in his first action of the season, went 1-for-3 with a double and a pair of walks. He also scored two of Tampa’s four runs. Kramer Sneed was on the mound to start the night, giving up one run on just four hits in five innings of work. Sneed also struck out a pair. The win went to Mark Montgomery, who blew his first save of the year but moved to 4-1. Tom Kahnle pitched a scoreless tenth for his first save of the season.
Charleston 7, Ashville 3
