Didi can act! Quick tangent – I was in Amsterdam last June and ran into a bartender who was a Yankees fan. We started talking about Didi, since he is Dutch, and it came up that the bartender played with Didi when he was in The Hague league. Aforementioned bartender raved about Didi’s personality and said he’s one of the nicest guys he ever met. Perhaps we’re starting to see that personality come through.
Castro could use an acting class or two, but that is not what the Yankees brought him in for. In my 10 Bold Predictions for the 2016 Yankees column today I predicted that Castro would be an All Star, and I’m starting to think Didi has a shot at making the team as well.
PS – I laughed at the Derek Jeter line, which I realize makes me a 9 year old. But isn’t that what Step Brothers is all about?
