Andy Pettitte will be making his first start of the Extended Spring Training tomorrow night in Clearwater Fla., for the Class A Tampa Yankees.
Pettitte, 39, will pitch in a Florida State League game against the Phillies Class A team the Clearwater Threshers. Game time is at 7 p.m. EST.
Pettitte is pleased with his progress and is looking forward to pitching tomorrow night.
"I'm feeling great." Pettitte said. "So far, so good."
On Wednesday, Pettitte threw a scoreless sixth inning in the Grapefruit League finale against the cross-town rivials, the New York Mets. It was his first time pitching in a Major League game since the 2010 postseason.
Barring any setbacks, Pettitte is on pace to return to the Yankees sometime in May.
