Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. The Bronx Bombers took their tater two-step to Texas. Didi Gregorius and Alex Rodriguez cleaned up big time and the Yanks toppled the Texas Rangers, 6-2.
Down two during the third, Gregorius in the lineup against lefty Matt Harrison, socked the equalizer to right, squaring the contest at two. For Gregorius, the two-run shot was his fifth on the season and part of a three-hit, four-RBI evening.
Then in the sixth, with the Yankees ahead 3-2, it was the birthday boy A-Rod going yard. Batting against Harrison, Rodriguez smoked a solo shot to right, giving him 24 home runs on the year.
The Bronx Bombers have 131 home runs this season.
