Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. Brett Gardner went deep on Opening Day, getting the Yanks on the board and also drilling their and his first home run of the season. Gardner, who nearly knocked one out earlier in the game, took Drew Hutchinson yard in the sixth inning.
Last season Gardy clocked a career high 17 home runs and the 15,000th home run in franchise history. This season, the longest tenured home grown Yankee is the first to park one.
