Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. The New York Yankees closed out the first half with an exclamation point. Winning 8-6 against the Boston Red Sox, the Yanks head into the break in first place with a ledger of 48-40. The Yankees were buoyed by a pair of book end home runs from Brian McCann and what turned out to be the eventual winner by Rob Refsnyder.

Refsnyder, who collected his first major-league hit during the seventh, also notched his first career home run in the ninth. With one on and one out, Refsnyder ripped one into the Monster seats, off a 2-2 slider from Alexi Ogando. Refsnyder's first, doubled the Bombers lead to 8-4.

Igniting the Yanks offense early was McCann, who also hit his first home run at Fenway Park. McCann and his All-Star stats, took Wade Miley yard into the Monster seats as well, on a 1-2 fastball in the second. Home run number 14 for McCann, posted the Yanks to a 2-0 advantage.
