The Yankees have designated outfielder Dewayne Wise for assignment to make room on the 25-man roster and 40-man roster for the newly acquired outfielder, Ichiro Suzuki.
In 61 plate appearances this season, Wise batted .262 with 3 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs and 8 RBI's.
