Yankees Invite 27 Non-Roster Players To Spring Training

The Yankees announced their list of non-roster 27 players ( 14 pitchers, five infielders, five catchers, and three outfielders) who are on minor league contracts and will be invited to Major League Spring Training. With 27 invitees and everyone on the 40-man roster, the total number of players schedule to report to Tampa, Fla., is 67.

The most notable veterans on the non-roster list are: Infielders Russell Branyan and Bill Hall, right-hander Manny Delcarmen, left-hander Hideki Okajima and outfielder DeWayne Wise.

Here is the list of the additional invitees:

Left-handed pitchers (3): Manny Banuelos, Juan Cedeno, Mike O'Connor.

Right-handed pitchers (8): Daniel Burawa, Matt Daley, Adam Miller, Ryan Pope, Graham Stoneburner, Adam Warren, Kevin Whelan, Chase Whitley.

Catchers (5): Jose Gil, Kyle Higashioka, Gustavo Molina, J.R. Murphy, Gary Sanchez.

Infielders (3): Doug Bernier, Jayson Nix, Jorge Vazquez.

Outfielders (3): Colin Curtis, Cole Garner, Brett Marshall.
