Aaron Judge has historic day at the plate. Again

There is only one word that can describe Aaron Judge's rookie season: Historic. On Sunday afternoon, Judge continued to solidify his rookie campaign as one of the best in Major League Baseball history.

With his 107th walk of the season, he set the rookie record for most free passes in a single season. The 25-year-old passed Les Fleming, who set the previous record during the 1942 season. Judge used his patience at the plate to set one record, but used his power to set another.

With his 40th homer of the season, Judge became just the second rookie in Major League history to reach the plateau. He joins Mark McGwire (49 homers in 1989) to accomplish the feat. Not only did the slugger make Major League rookie history, but joined some elite Yankee company in the process.

Judge became one of just four Bronx Bombers to hit 40+ homers in their age-25 season or younger. It's safe to say that the other four players went on to have Hall-of-Fame careers in Pinstripes. 2017 has been one for the record books for Aaron Judge. Despite some second half struggles, the 25-year-old has quickly made a name for himself throughout Major League Baseball.
