CC Sabathia cleared to continue baseball activities
Last month, Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia underwent emergency heart surgery due to a blocked artery. While Sabathia was recovering, his agent Kyle Thousand told The Athletic that the lefty was still scheduled to report to Spring Training as planned. Today, the Yankees announced Sabathia underwent a follow-up stress test and was promptly cleared to continue working out, which includes baseball activities.

Sabathia signed a one-year, $8 Million contract in November, and recently revealed on his R2C2 podcast that 2019 will be his final season. Pitchers and catchers are slated to report to George M. Steinbrenner Field on February 13th.
